About Christina Loraine

An inquisitive mind, charismatic vibe, and thirst for adventure have led Christina down a unique path. A self-taught painter, she studied philosophy at Western Illinois University and worked as a headhunter & company trainer in Atlanta before dedicating herself to her art career full-time.

Christina’s work has won numerous awards and is sought after by collectors worldwide. She partnered with author Richard Thomas to co-create a 3D story-installation and has competed in a live painting competition. Her self-portrait was featured in the Feb. 2017 issue of Art Ascent magazine. She has served as a judge at numerous art exhibits, including the Illinois Taxidermy Association’s fine art category. For the past 8 years, Christina has curated an annual juried art exhibition for high school artists.

For several years, Christina has taught art classes and workshops both locally and nationally. She instructs various classes through her local artist co-op (Feed Arts and Cultural Center in Kankakee, IL) and is active with the local Parks District. She also instructed a summer STEAM art class for 3 years at Kankakee Community College and traveled to remote northern Nevada to lead an art workshop in the high desert.

Christina currently resides far enough outside Chicago to see the stars at night with her son, husband, and animal friends. She continues to exhibit at galleries and festivals, teach, and inspire.
