Description

This, for me, feels like how it used to be.
Y’know, before we forgot. …
Before our voices were stolen.
Back when women were oracles.
When women were a source of knowledge.
When women were the source.” – Lisa Lister, WITCH

The Celts and other ancient pagan cultures believed that all important things came in threes: birth, death, and rebirth. Mind, body, and spirit. Above, below, and in-between. Waxing, full, and waning. Maiden, Mother, and Crone.

Created to honor the Original Holy Trinity – Maiden, Mother, Crone – and the oracles of yore, The Original Holy Trinity oracle card reading is intended to tap into the ancient wisdom of these archetypes to conjure clarity, courage, and change.

Ever-present and existing outside of time and space, the Trinity is associated with lunar energy, mystery, the internal, and psychic abilities. Each represents a phase of life, a state of mind, a shift of spirit.

The Maiden represents enchantment, inception, expansion, the promise of new beginnings, youth, and excitement. She brings to this reading a purity of spirit and a representation of new beginnings.

The Mother represents ripeness, fertility, fulfillment, stability, juiciness, a wellspring of life. She brings to this reading creative power and compassion.

The Crone represents wisdom, repose, and intuition. She brings to this reading a deep insight and wise guidance, her knowledge the culmination of a lifetime of experience.

A Note on Oracle Decks

Oracle decks are a divination tool similar to the Tarot but differ in their structure, format, and energy.

Tarot decks follow a 78-card format and contain Major Arcana, Minor Arcana, and the Court Cards. While there are many different types of Tarot decks (different artwork, different themes), the structure will always be the same.

Oracle decks, however, are more loosely structured and follow no distinct format. They can be anything, follow any theme, structure, or mythology, have any number of cards, use any symbol or system to divine a message. An oracle deck can have themes and archetypes similar to the Tarot but in general oracle decks are much less constrained.

Energetically, oracle cards hold massive energy. They give insight into the greater cosmic sense of what is going on, whereas Tarot cards can provide more detailed interpretations and align more clearly with our day-to-day lives.

How It Works

Readings are done via email. We will consult prior to the reading to determine the querent’s wishes and needs. Once the reading is complete, the querent will receive a PDF document with photos and a detailed reading.

Upon purchase of a Folkloracle Tarot reading the querent will receive an email from me within 24 hours where we will discuss the issue(s) to be explored and the intentions for the reading. It is helpful if you are able to clearly define the issue with which you are struggling and know what you want to achieve with this reading (for example: “I want clarity on what the next step should be to grow my career.”) I invite you to be as candid as you like and share as little or as much as you are comfortable with.

Please note that all information is 100% confidential and is held in a safe space of compassion, respect, and trust.
