Thanks to pop astrology many of us have an awareness of what has come to be known as our “big three” – our Sun, Moon, and Rising signs. While this may lead to an understanding of some basic info about our signs and our charts, often the missing piece is how to put that information to practical use in our daily lives. Through the dual lens of astrology and tarot, we will move beyond the basics and take a deep dive into exploring the astrological Moon in your natal chart.
In this class we will:
- consider the Moon as an archetypal and symbolic figure
- explore the elemental structure of both tarot and astrology
- break down each Moon sign’s element
- learn to recognize how your natal Moon shows up in your life, psyche, and relationships
- explore ways best to nourish your astrological Moon in order to move through daily life in a more integrated way
- learn to identify your needs based on your Moon sign’s element
- work to acknowledge and express emotions with compassion for yourself and others
- learn to recognize and work with your conditioned responses
- discuss ways to work with the energies of your natal astrological Moon in a way that encourages the most compassionate, life-affirming expression of those energies
- have fun and meet cool folx

Dawn Frary is a professional tarot reader and teacher who likes to joke that she has been reading tarot since the “late 1900s” (it’s funny cuz it’s true!). After over two decades of study, Dawn started reading tarot professionally in 2018 and has shared her work through various Iowa City businesses and organizations like Press Coffee, Heim, Revival, Thrift Bandit, White Rabbit, Over the Moon Studio, United Action for Youth, and more.
